Ken Olisa OBE

NON-executive chairman

Ken is Founder and Chairman of Restoration Partners, the boutique technology merchant bank. Ken’s technology career spans over 30 years commencing with IBM from whom he won a scholarship while at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University. In 1992, after a twelve years as a senior executive at Wang Labs in the US and Europe, Ken founded Interregnum, the technology merchant bank. He was elected as a Fellow of the British Computer Society in 2006.

He has considerable public company Board-level experience on both sides of the Atlantic. He is currently a director of Thomson Reuters and is currently Non-executive Chairman of AIM-listed Outsourcery Plc. He is also on the board of The Institute of Directors as a Non-Executive Director.

Ken is a Freeman of the City of London; Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists; a Director of the Thomson Reuters Foundation; Chairman of Thames Reach (for which he received an OBE in 2010); Chairman of Shaw Trust, was an original member of IPSA (Independent Parliamentary Standard Authority) and Founder and Chairman of the Powerlist Foundation. In 2009, he was named the Sunday Times Not for Profit Non-Executive Director of the year and was voted number 1 in the Powerlist’s Top 10 most influential British black people in 2015. In 2015 Her Majesty the Queen, appointed him as her Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London.


Piers Linney

Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Piers is a technology and communications entrepreneur, with a professional background in the City as a qualified solicitor with experience in corporate and private equity law; and an investment banker at BZW, followed by Credit Suisse where he specialised in mergers and acquisitions, and leveraged buy-outs.

Piers left investment banking in 2000 to start an internet business and has been involved in a wide range of technology, media and telecommunications ventures as a founder, investor, adviser and director since. Piers was the CEO of a venture capital and corporate finance boutique before becoming a partner at an alternative investment fund.

Together with Simon Newton, he created the UK’s largest independent provider of mobile solutions to businesses, through the acquisition and consolidation of Genesis Communications from DSG International plc (Dixons) and Thus Mobile from Cable & Wireless. The mobile business was sold in 2011 and Outsourcery was born.

In 2015, Piers was recognised in the Powerlist as one of the top 100 most influential black Britons. He was also a regional finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2015 and in 2014 won the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the inaugural EY Black British Business Awards. Piers is a member of the Cabinet Office’s SME panel and techUK’s Public Services Board. He is also a trustee of The Powerlist Foundation, leading innovation charity Nesta, as well as being founding trustee of workinsight.org. Piers was formerly an investor on the hit BBC2 television programme Dragons’ Den.


Simon Newton FCA, FCSI

Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Simon qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1990. From 1994 to 2008 he worked in the corporate finance departments of a number of investment banks including Hambros Bank (now part of Société Générale), Barclays de Zoete Wedd, Credit Suisse First Boston and ING, latterly as Managing Director of Corporate Finance.

In April 2007, he successfully led, with Piers Linney, the management buyout of Genesis Communications from DSG International plc (Dixons), from which Outsourcery was established.


Andy Burton

Non-Executive Director & Chairman of Operational Risk Committee

Andy is the Chief Executive Officer of Tryzens Group, a leading eCommerce Systems Integrator and service provider, specialising in solutions for the retail and B2B markets. Prior to this, Andy served as Chief Executive of Fasthosts Group, the UK-based web hosting and Cloud Services Provider, from 2009 to 2013 and Chief Executive of Centennial Software from 2004 until its acquisition by FrontRange Solutions in 2008. His previous experience included roles as Managing Director at Securicor, Chubb Security and Content Technologies and Senior Vice President at Baltimore Technologies.

In addition to his Non-Executive responsibilities at Outsourcery, Andy is also the Non-Executive Chairman of Concorde Solutions (a cloud based enterprise Software Asset Management solution) and a Non-Executive Director of Zynstra Limited (a developer of Cloud Managed Servers). He was also the Founder of the influential Cloud Industry Forum, building it up to the appointment of full time management in 2014.


Jane Hall

Non-Executive Director & Chairman of Audit Committee

Jane qualified as a chartered accountant in 1993 and is currently Chief Executive, Business Services of Innovation Group plc, the UK-based provider of business process services and software solutions to the insurance, fleet, automotive and property industries.

Prior to becoming Chief Executive, Business Services in 2015, Jane held the position of Group Finance Director. She originally joined The Innovation Group following the acquisition of Cosy plc in October 2001. Jane was initially responsible for the UK finance function, before moving into the role of Group Financial Controller in 2004. In November 2005, Jane also took over the responsibility of Company Secretary and subsequently assumed the role of Acting Group Finance Director prior to her appointment to the Board of The Innovation Group in August 2009.

Prior to joining The Innovation Group, Jane had several senior finance positions in smaller private companies.
