Microsoft has revealed a new version of its Dynamics customer relationship management (CRM) system.
The IT giant has produced a CRM service which is targeted at mid-sized retailers.
Dynamics for Retail is a CRM and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool.
The system aims to allow for stricter integration across numerous parts of a business and its IT operations.
Crispin Read, general manager of Dynamics ERP, said: "Our goal is to realise the Dynamics Business vision in the retail industry.
"Because we have enabled a truly connected retailer experience through a single, end-to-end Microsoft provided solution, customers can lower the total cost of ownership, reduce complexity and improve the accuracy of information, all of which is vital in today's evolving retail environment."
Earlier this week, Jim Raporza, writing for eweek.com, praised Microsoft SharePoint 2010's content management abilities.
